There's bound to be one or two questions in an interview that gives you an opportunity to provide a cracking answer that sticks in the interviewer’s mind.
Examples of questions you could ask are:
What appeals to you about working here?
Provide a thoughtful answer that shows you’ve considered the job or company values. Examples of great answers of this could be, 'because I like that you allow your staff to volunteer once a year for a good cause' or 'because you appear to embrace new technology and that’s something I'm really interested in being part of'.
Why are you leaving your current job?
Remember to remain positive when answering this question. Even if you want to leave your job because of your boss or the environment, focus your response around the positive side to getting a new job – finding a new challenge, greater opportunities and developing new skills.
Avoid badmouthing your current employer as this is good enough reason to believe you’ll do the same to them.
Where do you see yourself in five years?
For some, it's simply a matter of being satisfied in your role and performing well, for others it’s progressing in their career to more advanced roles.
